Made from Grenache Gris, Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Mourvedre, and Carignan grapes, this wine has aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and violets. Corbieres is a region in the Southern Rhone Valley of France where the cold, strong, and dry Mistral winds are prevalent, starting in the mountains in the north and traveling all the way down to the Mediterranean Sea. The Mistral can range from 50-90 kilometers per hour, forging grape vines to cling to the vines for dear life, giving the wine a minerality that is unique to this region. Enjoy Gris de Gris with your Easter honey glazed ham.
