Liveliness, like the Sicilian sea on a windy day, and elegance, like retro swimsuits. The artist plays with the elements of wine and with a pattern of waves, creating an illustration that recalls the freshness of Frappato. With a brilliant ruby ​​red color, our Frappato has interesting hints of red fruits, violet flowers, and sage. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, with a pleasant and persistent dry closure. This vibrant and elegant wine has strong, fruity notes. Perfect when paired with cold cuts and semi-hard cheese, it goes well with the Sicilian pasta with sardines.

Short Brand Story: Baglio di Pianetto was founded in 1997 by Count Paolo Marzotto, who traveled the world in search of the perfect vineyard location. Sicily was chosen for its flourishing landscapes and environmental variations that proved to create wines of great quality, and distinct personality. The winery now has two distinct properties and is still family owned and operated by 2nd and 3rd generation Marzotto Family Since the winery’s inception, all wines have been produced with sustainable practices in compliance with EU legislation, and as of 2016, the winery’s entire 160 hectares of property became certified organic, offering organic selections across every tier of their portfolio.

Short Region Description: Baglio di Pianetto sources grapes from two distinct properties on the island of Sicily: Pianetto, which lies in the mountains and boasts elevations of 650 meters above sea level and Baroni which is 50 meters above sea level near the southeast coast of Sicily.

Short Wine Description: It is a luminous ruby red color, with aromas of wild red berry, violets, and sage. Lively and crisp on the palate, progressing to a long, lingering, and pleasurable finish
