"This is a solid, spicy wine with a generous mix of berry and barrel flavors. Blackberry, mocha, toast and coffee components are threaded through, with supporting acidity. The tannins are unobtrusive but ripe, with a gentle touch of bourbon tea trickling down through the finish. This lovely bottle should develop nicely over the next half decade or longer."
