"A bright, neoclassic Rioja with refined balsamic fruit, cocoa powder, savory tobacco leaf and a hint of cigar box. A medium-to full-bodied red with tight and chalky tannins and an excellent, layered finish." -James Suckling

Food pairing: Pastas and rice dishes with a powerful flavor. Iberian sausages and cured cheeses. Roasted and grilled meats: beef chop, hamburger, Iberian pork loin and pork shoulder, lamb chops on vine shoots. Meat and game stews.

The Ollauri cellars (pictured above) were first opened at the end of the Middle Ages. In the 17th century, the excavation of the famous square openings began, carried out by Galician stonemasons.
Nowadays all this work is a marvel of conservation.

A historical gem of huge value in terms of heritage that has a surprising combination of iconic character and practicality. Today, bottles from legendary vintages such as 1892, 1918, 1948 and 1964 still lie in its depths.
