CloseAzienda Agricola COS was founded in 1980 by three friends: Giambattista Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti and Cirino Strange, who named the winery after themselves (Cilia-Occhipinti-Strange). They vinified grapes from their parents' vineyards and stopped using oak to mature their wines, now replaced with amphorae. They are known for having resurrected Cerasuolo di Vittoria, a previously underappreciated appellation, and helped elevate it to the DOCG status.
