In the early 1900s, Joseph Pascal arrived in the town of Puligny-Montrachet to cultivate the land. He met Marie Voillery and they had two children, René and Jean. Jean began working at Domaine Leflaive before buying some vineyard parcels in the early 1950s with his wife Cécile. In 1955, wine was struggling to sell, so they began to produce vine plants, to reach today, an annual production of 500,000 plants.

In 1975, Jean Luc joined his parents and together they formed a company called SARL Domaine Jean Pascal & Fils. Today the estate has 15 hectares of vineyards spread over 4 municipalities (Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Auxey-Duresses, and Volnay).

In the early 2000s, Jean Luc’s son Yann and his wife Alexandra arrived at the estate. Today, Yann runs the wine growing area, while Alexandra takes care of winemaking and trade.

We especially love their Puligny Montrachet Les Enseigneres located just below the prestigious Grand Cru vineyards Batard Montrachet and Bienvenues Batard Montrachet. The Jean Pascal wines from this vineyard have great richness, and minerality, great flavors and is a very enjoyable white Burgundy.

The Domaine, in the village of Puligny-Montrachet in the very heart of the Cote de Beaune wine growing region of Burgundy, is now made up of 14 different appellations, stretching over 4 villages (Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet). Overall production is split into 75% of white wines and 25% of red wines.

In the early 20th century, Joseph Pascal Morvan arrived in the small wine village of Puligny-Montrachet to work in the vineyards. While there he met his future wife Marie Voillery. They decided to remain in this small village and had two children, Rene and Jean.

Jean Pascal began working at the famous Domaine Le Flaive, married his wife Cecile (from Volnay) and began acquiring small parcels of vineyard land in the early 1950’s. Interestingly enough, the wine business was not very profitable in that era and they began to grow seedlings. Today they have an annual production of approximately 500,000 seedlings and enjoy both a prosperous wine and seedling business.

Today they have approximately 36 acres of vines in the wine producing villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Mersault, Vouvray and Auxey-Duresses.

Approximately 15 years ago, Jean Pascal’s grandson, Yann and his wife Alexandra arrived at the estate. Today, Alexandra Pascal is the chief winemaker and has obtained a reputation as being
