CloseWINE OVERVIEW
The vines for the Mahu Estate were planed in the late 1980s, paving the way for many of the cool climate sites of the Maule Valley. In the 17th Century, Jacques Mahu led an expedition from his native Netherlands to Chile. Mahu traced the path of the Humboldt current that is one of Chile's best resources for the cool maritime climate that influences the region. On the Estate there's an old growth Oak tree that sits on the bench overlooking the vineyards. An illustration of that tree is on the label.
