Opus One is the realized dream of two men: Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Chateau Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux and Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi. Together, our founders set out to create a single wine dedicated to the pursuit of uncompromising quality. This singular mission shapes every vintage, today and for generations to come.

A single wine, made with singular focus
The vintages of Opus One, from 1979 to today, show distinct character, yet each is distinguished by a signature silky structure and velvety tannins. In the United States, Opus One works closely with its distribution partners to allocate wine on an individual account basis. Internationally, Opus One is distributed through the network of Bordeaux négociants on the “Place de Bordeaux.” For inquiries about Opus One allocations or distribution please click on the link below to contact an Opus One sales manager in your area.

The Opus One 2021 effuses seductive, dark-fruit aromas of crushed cassis, blackberry, and black cherry with subtle hints of violet, vanilla, and baking spices. Bright and fresh on the attack, concentrated flavors mirror the aromas and are coupled with an exceptionally plush, creamy texture in the mid-palate from the fine-grained tannins. Poignant notes of black tea, licorice, and dark chocolate lead to a long lingering finish. With attentive cellaring, the wine will delight for decades to come.
