Pares Balta Blanc de Pacs has ripe, white orchard fruits on the nose, tempered by pithy, zesty lemon acidity and a chalky, almost saline minerality. This wine complements a butternut squash and chicken soup, or Spanish style garlic mushrooms.

CloseIn the 1980s, Joan Cusiné produced the first white wine from the Parés Balta winery, it was Blanc de Pacs.
After more than 40 years, it continues to be harvested from with the most ingrained and traditional
varieties of Penedes: Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Parellada. The third generation of the family winery,
Maria Elena Jimenez and Marta Casas have made Pares Balta one of the most innovative wineries in the
Penedes. With them came fresh minds but also the desire to learn, apply and improve. Their studies in
oenology and biodynamic agriculture have allowed them to understand that oenology is only a minor
part of winemaking, but most important is careful work in the vineyard
