Traditional port wine varieties - mainly Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, with a bit of Sousão from the oldest levels. A very high quality port, produced from the best grapes of 2017. Stepped on foot in granite presses for 3 or 4 nights, with careful temperature control. Aged in oak barrels for 24 months before bottling in May 2019.
Beautiful dark violet color and strong aromatic intensity. Complex aroma, black fruit, floral and spicy. In the mouth, it maintains all its intensity without losing any energy or freshness. Well structured, like any classic vintage, it will certainly evolve in the bottle for several decades, but it is so rich and seductive that it becomes difficult to resist opening the bottle at a young age.
The Vintages will age well for many decades. But it is also approachable and can be consumed as a young vintage port.
Drink as a digestif with cheese, chocolates or on its own. Remember to decant the port after it has thrown a deposit. This will happen after it has been a few years in bottle. - Winery Notes
