Our Story:
Started in 1959 by Sonoma County pioneer Rod Strong and led by the Klein family since 1989, Rodney Strong Vineyards is a family of passionate people committed to crafting premium wines, great experiences and delivering a vision for sustainability in Sonoma County. We are united by our passion for wine and the belief that nothing brings people together better than sharing a great bottle of Rodney Strong wine.

History:
Our Charlotte's Home Sauvignon Blanc is grown in vineyards where well-drained mineral rich soils join with sun drenched days and cool evenings. This ideal setting allows for a light, crisp and highly authentic Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc.

The Vintage and Vineyard:
The 2022 vintage was dry and mild. Rain from the previous autumn was light, and the new year was warm and dry with daytime highs up to 70 degreed F in early spring. After a few light sprinkles in the late spring and early summer, the temperature turned predictably hot a few days in June as usual, but the season was mild overall, with most summer days peaking around 85-90 degrees F. The balance of high daytime temperatures and cool evenings yielded ideal sugar concentration and mild acidity. Due to the dry and seasonable weather, harvest came expectedly early and we picked fruit on August 26th through September 13th.

Tasting:
Fresh, bright and crisp, this Sauvignon Blanc is a wine of balance, richness and aromatic complexity. Leading with zesty citrus notes of grapefruit, Meyer lemon and a light grassiness, this wine gives way to a more tropical fruit and melon characteristics. This classic Sonoma County style Sauvignon Blanc ends with clean, refreshing acidity and pairs beautifully with toasted brie, seared scallops, oysters with mignonette and fresh pasta with sweet peas and a lemon cream sauce.
