The Davies family of Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards proudly presents the third release of Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir, sourced from their Russian River Valley estate acquired in 2019. Their Pinot Noir legacy began in 1967, when Jack and Jamie Davies crafted the first vintage of Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs. Over the past 57 years, the family has fostered lasting partnerships with premier North Coast Pinot Noir growers. Building on this heritage, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and winemakers Sean Thompson, Jessica Koga, and J.P. Pierce offer this vineyard-designate wine from the 2022 vintage.
VINEYARDS
The Keefer Ranch is located along the Green Valley Creek in the Russian River Valley. The vineyard is planted on gently sloping, south-facing Goldridge Loam soil. Well drained throughout the growing season, this ground is moderately vigorous, ideally suited for the growth of densely concentrated Pinot Noir wine grapes. The vineyard profits from a long, cool hang time resulting in fruit with outstanding color, extraction, and balanced tannins.
