The estate

Founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme, Domaine de la Mordorée stands as an essential reference in the Rhône Valley. Located in Tavel, this family-owned estate spans around fifty hectares. Today, Madeleine and Ambre Delorme lead the estate, passionately carrying forward the vision of Christophe Delorme. Deeply committed to environmental stewardship, the estate is certified organic and biodynamic. Its emblem, the woodcock, symbolises this harmony with nature and constant pursuit of excellence.

The vineyard

This wine from the Côtes du Rhône appellation comes from plots resting on a great diversity of terroirs. The vines thrive on soils composed of sand, siliceous clay and calcareous gravel. Subject to a Mediterranean climate and swept by the mistral wind, the vineyard benefits from environmentally friendly farming practices that promote biodiversity and soil vitality. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand to preserve the integrity of the grapes.

The vintage

The year 2025 was marked by weather conditions specific to the southern part of the region, allowing the vines to develop in an environment conducive to producing grapes of exceptional quality.

Winemaking and aging

After careful destemming and crushing, fermentation of the Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2025 begins with indigenous yeasts, under rigorous temperature control. The maceration period is adapted according to the evolution of the juices. Finally, aging takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve all the purity and freshness of the fruit.
