Food pairings: Grilled burgers, herb-roasted chicken, pasta with tomato sauce, barbecue ribs and mild cheddar.
Winemaking: Aged 16 months in stainless steel and French oak, 30% new and 70% neutral. The 2024 Columbia Valley season recovered from a January cold snap into warm, steady ripening and a dry, temperate harvest.
Vineyards and terroir: Columbia Valley fruit east of the Cascades, where sunny, dry slopes and river-fed valleys give ripe black fruit with approachable structure. Greenwing is Duckhorn's Columbia Valley Cabernet line, distinct from Canvasback's Red Mountain focus.
Family and history: Greenwing is part of The Duckhorn Portfolio's Washington program alongside Canvasback. Winemaker Joe Czarny oversees both brands, continuing Duckhorn's work in the Columbia Valley.
