Food pairings: Charcuterie, pâté, roast chicken, grilled sausages, burgers and soft cheeses.
Winemaking: The Pinot Noir and Gamay are harvested and vinified separately, then blended and raised in stainless steel tank to keep the wine fresh and fruit-driven. The domaine destems most of its fruit and has bottled its wines unfined and unfiltered since 2010.
Vineyards and terroir: The grapes come from three parcels in the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits.
Family and history: Domaine Georges Lignier et Fils is a family estate in Morey-Saint-Denis. Since 2008 it has been run by Benoit Stehly, nephew of Georges Lignier, who has refined the style toward purity and precision.
