Close100% Pinot Noir
Food pairings: Game, beef, pork and medium-aged cheeses.
Winemaking: The 2024 blend is made from hand-harvested, destemmed Pinot Noir fermented with natural yeasts. It matures for 18 months in oak barrels, with one-third new oak and malolactic fermentation.
Vineyards and terroir: Fruit is sourced from several locations around Nuits-Saint-Georges to represent the village’s full-bodied style. The varied soils commonly feature blue-grey clay and marl, supporting wines with substantial tannic structure.
Family and history: Founded in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot brings together estate vineyards and a long tradition of working with Burgundy’s growers. Frédéric Barnier leads the winemaking team, with an emphasis on the character of each individual terroir and a restrained use of oak.
