APPELLATION & VINEYARDS
The historic Priest Ranch is now part of the Somerston Estate, a significant property totaling 1,682 acres, with 222 acres planted to hillside vineyards. Dramatic elevations of the vineyards define and distinguish the estate, ranging from 800 ft to 1,600 ft above sea level.

WINEMAKING
Our 2021 Remedy was handpicked, sorted, and fermented naturally, then aged for 27 months in 75% new French oak barrels and 25% once-used French oak barrels. The blend was refined over the course of the first year of aging, and the final selection was determined just before bottling.

HARVEST NOTES
The 2021 season started with very little rain in the Napa Valley, resulting in smaller berry sizes and yields per vine. At Somerston Estate, we dropped fruit during the growing season to allow the vines to put their energy into producing a limited amount of quality fruit. One of our smallest producing vintages, the 2021 wines are full of flavor and offer incredible intensity
