Both tart and ripe cherry notes are hinted at on the fresh nose. The palate is bright, light and shows notions of tart cherry and cinnamon. This is easy, fruity and bright and is one of those picnic reds that benefit from being chilled. — Anne Krebiehl MW

CloseOur winery is located in the idyllic village of Ruppersthal, in the middle of the gentle hills of the Wagram.
Winemaking has been anchored in our family for generations. For me, Thomas Stopfer, it means more than just a good old tradition. Wine combines my love and attachment to nature with the pleasure of enjoyment.
And it is no secret that the basis for high-quality wines is already created in the vineyards. My top priority is to deliver you this quality in every single bottle.
The winegrowing on the Wagram, which is at least 850 years old, is characterized not only by the high quality and variety of its products, but also by its scenic and cultural ambience. Magnificent views from the heights of the gravel hill country, cultivated vineyards, cellar alleys, churches, chapels and small monuments complete the enjoyment of the wine.
The French term "terroir" describes the natural advantages of winegrowing areas. The terroir on the Wagram is characterized by a variety of locations (loamy to gravelly; various slopes; exposed and protected locations). Among the dominating white wines, the Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltiner and Frühroter Veltliner, Riesling and Pinot Blanc are particularly noteworthy, with the red wines Zweigelt, St. Laurent and Blauer Burgunder. This variety guarantees a wide range of fruity to tangy, high-quality wines.
