Nick and Yolyn Goldschmidt founded Trig Point in 1998 after Nick (pictured above) spent years as a renowned "flying winemaker" crafting wines for some of the world's most respected estates. Their vision was simple: produce handcrafted, small-production, single-vineyard wines from exceptional vineyard sites around the globe. Born in New Zealand and trained in horticulture, viticulture, and winemaking, Nick built an impressive career with wineries including Simi, Clos du Bois, Gary Farrell, Cloudy Bay, Terrazas, and Ruffino before dedicating himself full-time to his own labels in 2008. Today, Nick continues to create site-driven wines while consulting internationally, combining decades of global experience with a passion for innovation, biodynamic farming, and expressing the unique character of every vineyard.
