Close90% Pinot Noir, 5% Syrah, 5% Grenache
Food pairings: Roast chicken, grilled salmon, mushroom pasta, herb-roasted pork tenderloin and soft cheeses.
Winemaking: The wine aged 6 months in 100% French oak, 50% new. Fruit is drawn from undiscovered California vineyards, with the 2025 North Coast season defined by a cool, slow ripening after heavy winter rains and few heat spikes.
Vineyards and terroir: The 2025 Pinot Noir is labeled 95% North Coast and 5% Central Coast. Lapis Luna seeks sites outside the usual spotlight, aiming for elegant, balanced wines with bright acidity and intense color in cooler years.
Family and history: Lapis Luna (Latin for "Stone and Moon") was established in 1999. Its copperplate-engraving labels tell the story of the "faceless hero" — struggle, aspiration and redemption — and the motto "Reach for the Moon" frames everyday drinking as a small celebration. The brand is based at WarRoom Cellars in Santa Margarita, California.
In the pictures: Bottle only; Lapis Luna is a brand project without a public estate vineyard or owner press kit suitable for listing photos.
