Food pairings: Grilled steaks and other red meats, burgers, barbecue, rich pasta dishes and aged cheeses.
Winemaking: A blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, aged in 100% French oak. Ghostrunner makes only this one red blend, so the whole team's time and attention goes into a single wine.
Vineyards and terroir: The grapes come from Central Valley vineyards in the Lodi appellation, chosen for producing rich and elegant wines.
Family and history: Ghostrunner was created in St. Helena, California, to bring to market a great-tasting red blend to enjoy anytime. The wine is made by Larry Levin, a UC Davis enology graduate who spent seventeen years at Dry Creek Vineyard, made wine in New Zealand, Chile and Australia, and later headed winemaking for Franciscan, Mt. Veeder, Robert Mondavi, Estancia, Ravenswood and Quintessa.
