BIG CABS from the West Coast are perfect for the winter holidays as they are full-bodied & powerful, dominated by dark fruit - blackberry, black currant, (cassis), plum, dark cherry, and blueberry. These ripe, dense fruit flavors are hallmarks of warm-climate Cabernets. Aging in oak barrels adds vanilla, cedar, spice, tobacco and sometimes mocha or chocolate notes. With bottle age, tertiary notes like leather, forest floor, earthy spice and sometimes graphite can emerge.

Domaine Rolet, perched on the foothills of the Jura Mountains, just east of the Cote de Beaune on the Switzerland border, the Jura wine-producing zone is recognized for its unique reds, as well as its particular and diverse styles of whites.
